About the event

Are you ready to get Active, Connected & Creative for Black History Month through African Dance & Drumming at Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre NW10 0RG.

We are trying to get as many people as possible in Brent and surrounding boroughs dancing for Black History Month, this event is designed for adults and children whether you’re a beginner or improvers dance students or have no dance experience at all, there will be something for you. So Spread the Word!

Are You Ready?

This 1-day dance event will be our first Dance-A-Thon which will be held in Brent, so everyone is invited to take apart in the 5 hours of dance classes between 12.00 noon and 5.00pm on Sunday 29th October 2023, all we need is your mind, body, soul, energy & commitment - You Ready?

What do we cover?

African dance, Rumba, Orishas, Drumming & Songs which will include Men & Ladies body movement, flow, and styling, developing your footwork and steps, musical interpretation and understanding of dancing to music, develop your creativity, exploring different rhythms and dance styles, developing your Spatial Awareness and teamwork in working with small groups.

How much does it cost?

Prices: 1 class £10, 3 classes £20, 5 classes £30 | Student ID card & over 65 discount available please send email to info@cubanvibes.com , Workshops will be on a Sunday afternoon, workshops are from 12.00pm - 5.00pm. Durations of the classes will be 1 hour with a 10 min breaks, but please feel free to take a natural break if your feel tired.

What do I need to bring?

Please wear loose comfortable clothing preferably sportwear and dance wear clothing, bring a towel ready to sweat and water so you can keep hydrated during the sessions. Bring a loose skirt if you plan to do the rumba class as a follower.

Wear comfortable footwear which protects your ankle whilst dancing, it is also important that you understand dance etiquette and guidance will be given on this aspect.

How to make Payment?

We have only listed the Full Day Pass which is £30 on our website which will entitled you to access to all 5 classes, if you only plan to attend 1 or 3 classes, please make payment directly to Thomas Dance.

Payment can be made directly to Thomas Dance, Sort: 20 - 37 - 16 Account No: 30010081, use your name as the payment reference, email info@cubanvibes.com, or text 07908 082080 once payment is made, you will receive a confirmation once paid, money non-refundable and non-transferable. Payment can also be made on the day via cash or card payment (subject to availability).
